Entrance Into The Novitiate

On March 18, 2026, the eve of the Solemnity of St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, two brothers were accepted into the Novitiate program at the Oratory of St. Joseph Friary in Tagaytay City.

Fra Dennis Vargas, OFM Conv., the Provincial Custos, received the two brothers, Fra Anthony Edrin Palatino and Fra Achilles Samuel Talangan. In his reflection, Fr. Dennis emphasized that observing poverty is not limited to material deprivation; rather, one must be detached from everything in order to be free from earthly concerns.

He then entrusted the two brothers to the Novice Director, Fra Matthew Faraon, OFM Conv., who blessed the habits and assisted in vesting the new novices.
