On the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (July 16, 2026), seven priests of the Diocese of Imus made their perpetual profession into the Secular Franciscan Order (OFS) during the Eucharistic Celebration at Divine Mercy Parish, Biluso, Silang, Cavite.
The newly professed are:
On the evening before the profession, Fra Alfonsus Panaligan, OFMConv., led the candidates' spiritual preparation at St. Joseph Friary in Tagaytay City.
The Holy Mass was presided over by Fra Dennis Vargas, OFMConv., Provincial Custos, with Rev. Fr. Eric Orcullo, OFS, Parish Priest of Divine Mercy Parish, as concelebrant. The profession was received by Sis. Eli Hernandez, OFS, Local Minister of the St. Padre Pio Fraternity in Tagaytay, and witnessed by Fra Basil Matias, OFMConv., National Spiritual Assistant of the OFS in the Philippines, and Bro. John Joseph Buentes, OFS, National Councilor.
With the profession of these seven priests, the Diocese of Imus now has ten clergy who belong to the Secular Franciscan Order, joining Rev. Fr. Eric Orcullo, OFS, Rev. Fr. Marty Dimaranan, OFS, and Bishop Rey Evangelista, OFS, D.D.
