The Celebration of the Chapter of Mats

Indang, Cavite — June 15–17, 2026. The Junior Friars, together with their Formators Friar Gerard Ma. Lofranco, OFMConv. and Friar Andrew Ma. Datoy, OFMConv., gathered at La Morada in Indang, Cavite for the celebration of the Chapter of Mats. Rooted in the Franciscan Gospel Life, a fraternal encounter that emphasized communion, reflection, and shared spiritual journey.

The Chapter opened with a Spiritual Introduction led by Fra. Andrew. Friars shared their personal experiences and life journeys as Conventuals, weaving together stories of vocation, challenges, and growth in the Franciscan Gospel way of life.

The Chapter of Mats served as a reminder that living the Gospel life is the heart of Franciscan identity, and that renewal comes not through legislation but through authentic encounters rooted in the Gospel.

This celebration at La Morada highlighted the journey of Junior Friars in deepening their vocation, strengthening the fraternal life and living out the Franciscan charism in contemporary times.
