Third General Homecoming of Former Conventuals

On December 1-3, 2023, the former Conventual Franciscans gathered at the Immaculata Retreat House in Novaliches Quezon City for the Third General Homecoming. Seventeen participants enriched the gathering, centered around the theme "Kapatirang Kumbentual Kahapon: United as One in the Celebration of the 800th Founding Anniversary of the Franciscan Order."

The event featured various activities, including pilgrimages to the Basilica Minore de Santuario de San Pedro Bautista and the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in Quezon City. Additionally, participants engaged in a spirited tournament, enhancing the camaraderie of the occasion.

The guardian of the Immaculata Friary, Fr. John Nathan Ma. Maagma, OFMConv., played a significant role by leading the group in the Holy Mass and delivering both the opening and closing talks. The culmination of the gathering featured a group discussion focused on the establishment of the Conventual Mission Partners and the Order of Franciscan Secular (OFS) Kolbe Fraternity.

Lastly, a financial report was shared and the group elected the officers for the next general homecoming. It's worth recalling that historically, the homecoming took place at St. Joseph Friary in 2015 and at St. Maximilian Friary in 2019.
