Jesus Brought Victory to the Church His Bride

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, let us rejoice with the whole Christendom as it celebrates our salvation. Jesus brought victory to the Church his bride.

This Sunday, the Gospel tells us the story of Mary Magdalene visiting the tomb of Jesus early in the morning. She immediately went to tell the disciples what she saw. Full of joy, she was eager to proclaim the resurrection of Jesus. She became the bearer of good news. Later, Peter and the other disciples would also proclaim the resurrection and would bear witness to it and would even die for Jesus. They were able to become strong and firm amid persecutions because the Holy Spirit guided them. They have opened their hearts to be transformed by the power of God shown through Jesus’ passion, death and resurrection.

Full of joy, Mary Magdalene was eager to proclaim the resurrection of Jesus. She became the bearer of good news.

We continue the work of the Apostles in proclaiming and bearing witness to the resurrection of Jesus. The Church asks us to follow Jesus, gaze on His face and allow Him to transform us with His love through the Holy Spirit. Let us live our faith and be a living witness of Christ in the world.
