From July 16 to 18, 2024, Friar Dominic Ma. Lim and the Temporary Professed Friars held their three-day Chapter of Mats at Villa Mendoza Resort, Talisay, Batangas, to plan for the 2024-2025 formation year.
On the first day, the friars reviewed and evaluated the different communities from the past formation year, 2023-2024, discussing the achievements and areas for improvement. In the evening, Friar Dominic gave a talk about the Stigmatization of St. Francis of Assisi, followed by a sharing session where the friars reflected on their current life experiences in relation to the Stigmatization of St. Francis.
The second day began with Holy Mass at San Guillermo Parish, Talisay, Batangas, presided over by Friar Dominic. They were welcomed by the parish priest and the parishioners of San Guillermo Parish. The next activity was the election of assignments and the appointment of members to the committees: Men of God, Men of Fraternity, and Men of Mission. The committees then planned and created proposals for the 2024-2025 formation year.
On the last day, the friars had lunch at the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate, Talisay, Batangas, before returning to St. Maximilian Seminary.
