Annual Retreat of Franciscan Conventual Student Friars in Bukidnon

Every year, the student friars of the Franciscan Conventual community gather for a spiritually enriching and peaceful retreat. This cherished annual tradition took place from January 6 to 10 in a serene location nestled within the natural beauty of Bukidnon. The breathtaking surroundings provided an ideal setting for reflection, prayer, and silence.

The retreat offered the friars a precious opportunity to deepen their connection to their faith and community while recharging for the year ahead. Over the course of the retreat, the junior friars participated in various spiritual activities, including guided meditations, masses with the monks, adoration, and moments of personal reflection. Communal meals, observed in silence, and meaningful discussions fostered a profound sense of brotherhood and solidarity among the participants.

The tranquil environment of Bukidnon, with its cool climate and lush landscapes, created the perfect atmosphere for a transformative spiritual experience. Beyond personal renewal, the retreat also served to reaffirm the friars’ commitment to their mission of service, study, and fraternal life as Franciscans.

As the friars returned to their respective duties, they carried with them a sense of renewed energy and devotion, ready to continue their work in service to others and their community.
