Marian Conference and Renewal of Consecration

December 09, 2024, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. The friars from different communities, postulants and observers gathered together at St. Joseph Friary, Tagaytay City.

Fra Anthony Lajato, OFMConv. from US – St. Bonaventure Province facilitated the Marian conference at 9:00AM, on the topic of “Our Lady of Guadalupe: Woman of Advent.” He highlighted the role of Mary as first missionary by bringing the Word and how she helped the Franciscan friars in the mission to Mexico through her apparition to Juan Diego. The Eucharistic celebration followed at 11:30AM. Fra Emmanuel Giva, OFMConv, the Provincial Custos led the renewal of consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary, using the formula of Solemn act of Consecration by St. Maximilian Kolbe, before the final blessing.
