On February 21, 2026, during the Special Jubilee Year of the Church marking the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi, the Apostleship of Prayer of the Vicariate of San Antonio de Padua (Diocese of Parañaque) organized a pilgrimage to St. Maximilian Friary in Multinational Village, Parañaque City.
The pilgrims arrived at 9:00 AM and were divided into four groups to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. During the confessions, the Blessed Sacrament was solemnly exposed for Eucharistic Adoration, fostering a spirit of prayer and repentance.
Afterward, the faithful visited the Chapel of the Relics before participating in the celebration of the Holy Mass at 11:00 AM. The Mass was presided over by Fra Dominic Lim, OFMConv, with Fra John Vianney Acosta, OFMConv, and Fra Bernard Anuta, OFMConv, as concelebrants.

Before the final blessing, the community prayed the Prayer to St. Francis and offered prayers for the intentions of the Holy Father, fulfilling the conditions to obtain the plenary indulgence granted by the Holy See for this Jubilee Year.
In this Year of St. Francis, the faithful are invited to embrace the Gospel as he did. As Fr. Giulio Cesareo, OFMConv, reflected:
“St. Francis did not live in a time much better than ours. There were religious wars, internal city conflicts, great disputes, family feuds, and much injustice. He did not live in an ideal historical moment. Yet his message is beautiful: if a person truly embraces the Gospel, he creates a different story around himself; he creates new relationships.”
