On May 28, 2023, Friar Carlos Trovarelli, OFMConv., the Minister General of the Order came to the Philippines for a fraternal visit.
Alongside the Minister General, Friar Benedict Baek, OFMConv., the Assistant General for Asia (FAMC), Friar Dariusz Mazurek, OFMConv., the Secretary General for Mission Animation (SGAM), and Friar Piotr Stanisławczyk, OFMConv., the Secretary General for Formation (SGF) were also present.















The Minister General in St. Joseph Friary, Tagaytay City
From May 29 to 31, the friars of the Custody gathered at St. Joseph Friary in Tagaytay for a series of conferences.
Fra Carlos delivered a presentation on the Conventual Franciscan Charism, focusing on the theme "Living, Sustaining, and Passing on the Charism." This was followed by a discussion on SGAM led by Fra Dariusz, who also shared the theme of the “Missionary Vocation” and the various missionary presences of the Franciscan Order in the world. Then, Fra Piotr conducted a conference on formation, addressing the theme "Is Formation a Challenge?"

The Minister General in San Agustin Parish, Parañaque City
In the evening, there was a fraternal celebration with songs and dances from the Aspirants, Postulants, Novices, Simple and Solemn professed Friars. After the conferences, the Minister General visited the communities of San Agustin Friary and St. Maximilian Friary in Parañaque, St. Francis of Assisi Friary in Binangonan, and Immaculata Friary in Novaliches.

On June 3rd, Fra Carlos met with the representatives of Militia Immaculata and the Secular Franciscans from South Manila Region at St. Maximilian Friary before going to Cebu.
The day after, the Minister General presided over the Eucharistic Celebration for the opening of the Inter-Franciscan Missionary Course in Cebu. He was accompanied by Fra. Dominic Lim, OFMConv., the Custodial Vicar and Fra Benedict.
