Fra Bernard M. Anuta, OFMConv. was ordained to the priesthood last June 13, 2023, Feast of St. Anthony of Padua.
Angelito Anuta was born in Inabanga, Bohol on March 26, 1993. He joined the postulancy on June 14, 2010, novitiate on March 18, 2012, and took the name Fra Bernard. He professed his temporary vows on March 19, 2013. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy at Rogationist Seminary College in March 2017 and made his solemn profession of vows on July 14, 2018. He finished his theological Studies at Don Bosco School of Theology in April 2022, and was ordained to the diaconate on June 13, 2022.
He was ordained to the priesthood in his hometown in Inabanga, Bohol at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, through the hands of Bishop Patrick Daniel Y. Parcon, D.D., Bishop of Talibon.
Fra Emmanuel GIVA, OFMConv., the Provincial Custos, and the friars from different communities attended the event. Parishioners and lay collaborators from San Agustin, San Francisco ng Assisi and St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe Parishes also participated.
Fra Bernard is presently the Custodial Econum and assigned at San Augustin Friary in Parañaque.
