Missionary Project to the North

From February 26th to 28th, 2024, the Custos and his Definitory visited the community in San Juan, Ilocos Sur. On the initial day, February 26th, Fra Emmanuel Giva, OFMConv., accompanied by two definitors, along with Fra Nicholas Solis, OFMConv., and Fra Uriel Santos, OFMConv., paid a visit to Archbishop Marlon Peralta of the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia. During this meeting, they reached an agreement on extending the contract of San Juan Mamuniag Parish for an additional eight to ten years. Additionally, the archbishop extended an offer for the chaplaincy for the Sisters of St. Clare in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur. Later that day, the Custos and his Definitory conducted a mass at the monastery of the Sisters of St. Clare, joined by the community of Immaculata Friary in Novaliches.

The subsequent day, February 27th, commenced with a concelebrated mass at San Juan Mamuniag Parish, led by the Provincial Custos. Following the mass, a definitory meeting was convened.

On the final day, February 28th, the Custos and two definitors visited the Sisters of St. Clare in Cabugao to discuss the archbishop's proposal regarding the chaplaincy responsibilities.
