St. Anthony of Padua Friary Prison Apostolate

On September 25, 2023, a significant event took place at the BJMP regional office in Palo, Leyte - the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) District Jail in Dolores, Eastern Samar, and St. Anthony of Padua Friary. The MOA was signed by JCSUPT. Delvic L. Oreo, the regional director, and Fra Basil Matias, OFMConv.

This signing marked the official accreditation of St. Anthony of Padua Friary as the Service Provider for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL). This accomplishment was the result of close collaboration with various local circles of the Militia Immaculata in Dolores. The contract, established through this MOA, is set to expire in October 2025.
