On December 10, 2000, during the Great Jubilee Year—twenty-five years ago—the Conventual church dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary Immaculate in Novaliches was canonically erected as a parish church under the patronage of St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe. This became the third parish of the Custody, following Sta. Quiteria and St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Caloocan, and San Agustin Parish in Parañaque. Since its inception, seven friars have served as parish priests. The current parish priest is Fra John Nathan Maagma, with Fra Ericson de la Peña serving as parochial vicar.
The first part of the silver anniversary celebration was held on December 10, 2025, and was participated in by friars representing various communities, as well as novices, postulants, and actively committed parishioners and volunteers. The highlight of the celebration was the Holy Mass at 11:00 a.m., presided over by the Provincial Custos, Fra Emmanuel Giva. This year also marked other silver jubilees. Four friars—Fra Dennis Vargas, Fra Angelo Brences, Fra Irenaeus Daep, and Fra John Vianney Acosta—celebrated the 25th anniversary of their solemn profession. In addition, Fra Dominic Lim commemorated the silver anniversary of his presbyteral ordination. In remembrance of these milestones, the jubilarians were presented with Papal Blessing parchments.
The second part of the anniversary celebration of St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe Parish took place on December 13, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at the parish court. The program was participated in by the parishioners, with various parish ministries presenting dance performances. Raffles and trivia games added to the festive atmosphere. This gathering also served as the parish’s Christmas party. At the conclusion of the program, the parish priest, Fra John Nathan, delivered the closing remarks and imparted the final blessing.
