Traveling from place to place was one of my childhood desires; the unique and mesmerizing history, culture, and traditions of a place complete my travel.
I went to Northern Samar from the 4th to 8th of June for my first official vocation campaign. It was my first long-distance travel since I was elected as a new vocation director. I visited towns, villages, and even boarding houses through banca boats, jeeps, and even bicycles. This experience made me realize the beauty of my work, but what made me feel happy and blessed is to be with the young people, listening to their stories, and sharing with them the beauty of God’s calling for me to the religious life.

Considering the challenges of today's vocation ministry, we are called to be living witnesses, especially as religious. Thus, I invite you to pray as St. Francis of Assisi asks for more vocations “Lord, give me brothers.”
Amen.
