As we begin the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with a procession led by the Cross, we are reminded of the great truth that we are all in pilgrimage on this earth, led by Jesus, our Saviour. We travel towards our real homeland, the house of our Father. It is only Jesus who can lead us the way.
Like the Israelites we recall in this week’s Psalm, we have made an exodus, passing through the waters of Baptism, freeing us from our bondage to sin. He feeds us with heavenly bread, giving us living waters to drink.
We travel towards our real homeland, the house of our Father. It is only Jesus who can lead us the way.
Like them, we are asked to set our feet firmly on the foundation of our faith, to put our trust only in God because he is our only sure hope.
People who put their trust in their wealth, career (themselves), would fall, and great will that fall be because everything will fall but not God. His Word will stand forever. It will be a light in the darkness.
Let us walk in the light of Christ my dearest sisters and brothers!
