Pax Christi!
For two years, the whole world was on lockdown because of the pandemic but it did not stop the Catholic Christians in celebrating the birth of our Saviour.
It was a sad moment in our history, but our consolation was that Jesus was happy to be locked down here on Earth for 33 years because he loves us. Even after his ascension into heaven, he continues to be present with us.
The Corona virus did not stop us from welcoming and celebrating the birth of our Messiah. Our homes became a warm manger for this cold Christmas. We kept Jesus in our hearts and allowed him to be born again and again in our hearts by our love for our neighbours.
We kept Jesus in our hearts and allowed him to be born again and again in our hearts by our love for our neighbours.
I am saddened by the news because it means we cannot celebrate Christmas liturgy as a community. But Jesus was happy to be locked down here on Earth for 33 years because he loves us. Even after his ascension into heaven, he continues to be present with us.
This year, we are back to normal. Let us learn from this experience the importance of keeping our family intact and recognizing that we belong to the bigger family of God, His Church.
I greet all of you with the love of God. May Jesus find a home in us. May Mary keep us all in the mantle of her maternal protection, the same mantle he put on the child Jesus!
A blessed and meaningful Christmas!
