As we begin the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with a procession led by the Cross, we are reminded of the great truth that we are all in pilgrimage on this earth.

This Sunday, the 17th in Ordinary Time, the Church invites us once again to a deeper encounter with the Lord who speaks to us.

Abraham was concerned about the well being of his visitor, contrary to the picture we see in the Gospel for today with Martha. Martha was more concerned about herself.

Our mother Church feeds us with the greatest of all commandments, loving God and our neighbour.

We are being nourished by the Holy Mother Church with the "Word" and with the "Body" and "Blood" of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Life flows from the Eucharist and finds its meaning back into it. It is where we learn to love God with all our heart, mind, and being.
