For two years, the whole world was on lockdown because of the pandemic but it did not stop the Catholic Christians in celebrating the birth of our Saviour.

As we celebrate the fourth Sunday of Advent, the liturgy gives us the Blessed Virgin Mary and Joseph as a guide to be able to arrive at the Manger of the Word made Flesh, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Liturgy of this Sunday invites us to rejoice for the Lord’s coming is at hand, and He will not delay.

This season of Advent, we ask the great King to come and visit our hearts.

Today, as we start fresh, welcoming the new liturgical year, we are asked by holy mother Church to prepare for the coming of Jesus by opening our hearts to our Him.

Our world needs to learn the true service from Christ, if he intends to live the fullness of life. One has to learn to lay down his life in order to find life.
